Women’s Fly Fishing Weekend

“I recently went on a Trout fly fishing weekend with Outdoor Adventures for Women.  What a blast – I wish it had been a full week!  I plan on going again as soon as possible.
I have been fly fishing for over forty years, but always from shore or a boat.  On our trip I learned how to wade in the river – what an amazing feeling of being a part of nature.  It just doesn’t get any better that!

The weekend included five women, one that I have known for many years and who invited me on the trip. I met three new women that share my love of fishing and the outdoors.  The camaraderie, playful bantering and Dede’s excellent cooking made this weekend a complete success in my book.  Sign me up for the next trip Dede.”      Nikki

“Thanks Dede … I had a great time on the fly-fishing weekend. I liked the flexibility (not having to get up at 5:00 in the morning to fish) and meeting the other women on the trip. I am new to the sport and they were all very helpful…and did not laugh too much at us novices!!

Audrey has fly fished with husband David for many years.  Here’s her take on the outing…

“I went on my first girl’s weekend fly fishing trip.  What a great time!  This was one of the most enjoyable trips I’ve taken.  I met some wonderful women that not only were a lot of fun but interested in the same things I was.  Everyone was there to lend a hand to any of the ‘newbies’ and it was a great atmosphere for women to learn something different.  I think we ended up with a few women now hooked on fly fishing.  Please let me know when the next trip is planned, I’m there! “   Audrey Acquisti

Even husband David sent me a testimonial!   “My wife was so excited about going on an adventure with some lady friends!  Using the fly’s that she had tied (at Hank’s Fly Fishing store) to catch some fish was going to be a great experience and finding out what all the guys like about doing the same thing was even better!  I know she had a lot of laughs and is still talking about it today.  I am sure Audrey will be doing another adventure soon!”  David Acquisti
