Wine tasting, hosted by local winery, will be served at our five star lodge and meeting facility. After your complete wine tasting experience and education, you will dine on some of our gourmet offerings made from the finest fresh local ingredients.

Outdoor Adventures for Women is excited to partner with Big Paw Outfitters for a         5 Day Fall Black Bear Hunt in beautiful northern Minnesota.  Bordering the Voyageurs National Park, this area boasts tremendous genetics for skull size and body weight. Coats are normally in excellent shape as the bears prepare for winter. You have a great chance at harvesting a color phase bear in this area and also an excellent opportunity at a book bear!

This Outfitter has offered a special price of $2000 (a $195 savings!), for ladies joining OAW for this trophy quality bear hunt.

Minnesota does have an application process and in order to hunt Sept 2010, we must apply for a group tag by May 1, 2010.  A $500 deposit is required for each hunter and is refunded if our group is unsuccessful in the draw.

Fortunately, Big Paws has enjoyed high success in receiving tags for their clients and expect nothing less in the future. Tags can be applied for individually or in groups.

Outdoor Adventures for Women invites you to hunt ELK and  MULE DEER on the West Slope of the Grand Mesa in COLORADO..

Colorado has the highest population of elk of any state!  Unlike some western states, Colorado does not have wolves which have decimated some of the other western states populations of elk.  Out outfitting partner has secured outfitting rights on the West Slope of the Grand Mesa.  Elk populations in this area are flourishing. Mild winters along with a tough to reach wilderness region make this one of the most affordable high success elk hunts anywhere!

Your trip will start off at the trailhead at the base of the wilderness area.  Your gear and camp supplies will be loaded on a string of fine mountain horses and mules.  From there you will journey four miles back into the wild.  The views will take your breath away as you make your way to camp.  Accommodations during your hunt will be at a true wilderness wall tent camp.  Although the camp is very basic, most hunters really enjoy this aspect of this hunt.

Each morning your guide will wake you up and go over the game plan for the day.  These professional guides love to chase big bulls and know where they like to feed and bed.  Most mornings you will leave camp striking out in the dark hoping to intercept the bulls as they make their way from feeding to bedding grounds.  Expect high success as your guide’s goal is to get you as close as possible to your game!  This is an exciting hunt and you should be prepared to go on some extensive hikes.

3 Day, 2 Night Ladies     Fly Fishing Instructional School Cost: TBD Includes: Lodging and meals at a Ranch located on the Manistee River. The weekend instruction will be by a lady who has been fly fishing all her life. Dates:  Late June 2010 with hatch  Get hooked on the wild and wonderful world of fly fishing with this action-packed getaway. This unique learning experience takes you step-by-step from the classroom to an actual outing on one of northern Michigan’s most famous blue ribbon trout streams.

You’ll go beyond the fundamentals of casting and line delivery and into the art, science, and the fun that is the wildly popular sport of fly fishing.  By learning fish habitat, basic stream-side entomology, you’ll come away with not only an understanding of what it takes to land a fish on a fly but also the enriching insight into the natural world of a Blue Ribbon trout stream.

Deer Tracks Ranch is a large, whitetail deer ranch with almost 3 square miles of whitetail deer habitat.  It is located on the banks of the big Manistee River with a beautiful lodge, log hunting blinds and a friendly,full-service staff.   Enjoy rustic elegant accommodations in this fully guided, all inclusive whitetail hunt.

The first day hunters will arrive by noon, be served a light lunch, followed by a trip to the rifle range.  Hunting will  begin that afternoon and continue into the second full day.  Departure will be Sunday about noon.
