<p>This is more than a hunting trip!&nbsp; See the sights of Old Montreal before departing&nbsp; to base camp on a chartered jet.&nbsp; From there you will be transported by floatplane from the base to an outpost camp where you will enjoy a hot shower, a warm bed and great food while hunting 2 caribou for a week.</p>

<p><font size="2"><strong><font color="#808040">&#8220;Complete&#8221; American Package $5290&nbsp; All inclusive from Montreal and back: </font></strong></font>Chartered jet to Caniapiscau (base camp), Floatplane from base to outpost camp, <strong>fully guided</strong>, all meals at camp, fully equipped wooden camp for 6 hunters, hot shower, flush toilet, boat, motor and gas, meat house and dressing of your meat, salt for your capes, cheesecloth and transportation boxes, refrigerated storage at base camp, way in weight allowance &#8211; 60# per person, way out weight allowance -&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 3 meat boxes 65# each, 2 caribou racks. <font color="#808040"><strong>Not included:</strong> Non-resident license for 2 caribou $293 CAN and a night lodging at the Sheraton 4 Points in Montreal (Explo-Sylva&#8217;s greet and park) prior to early am fly out.</font></p>
<p><font color="#808040"><strong>&#8220;Intermediate&#8221; Modified American Package $4790&nbsp; Same as above except it is not fully guided.</strong></font> There is a camp steward who does the cooking and gets you on the caribou. He does not spend the day hunting with you or pack your meat out.</p>
<p><font color="#808040"><strong>&#8220;Expedition&#8221; Housekeeping Package $3990 Same as above except it is not guided,</strong></font> <font color="#808040"><strong>you bring your own food and do your own cooking,</strong></font> 6 or 12 person camps, way in weight allowance &#8211; 110# per person includes food.</p>
<p>You will walk and/or use a boat to reach favorable hunting sites as <a href="http://explo-sylva.com/">Explo-Sylva</a> camps are situated between the roaming areas of the two biggest herds, the Leaf River herd and the George River herd.&nbsp; With more than 30 hunting sites located on 75 000 km2, they are very flexible to accommodate their hunters according to the caribou&#8217;s migration.</p>

<p>The hunting season spreads from August to the end of September and usually offers a good kill ratio. To date, <a href="http://explo-sylva.com/">Explo-Sylva</a> has the best kill ratio in Northern Quebec. </p>
<p>Caribou lose their velvet around mid September. Two animals can be taken.&nbsp; Use firearm or bow at ranges anywhere between 10 and 300 yards. Recommended firearms are&nbsp; 243, 308, 30.06, 270 and 300 calibers with 150 grain bullets. Bows must be at least 40 pounds and arrows with very sharp broad heads.  </p>
